Hands of Christ Duluth Cooperative Ministry has put faith into action for 30 years with the support of local churches, businesses and the community.
Our Goal
Our goal is to prevent hunger and homelessness in our city by providing critical services of food, financial assistance and guidance when they are most needed.
Who We Serve
Families and individuals in Duluth, Georgia (Zip Codes 30096 and 30097).
Services
- Thanksgiving meal boxes
- Christmas gifts for children and seniors
- Easter Baskets
If qualified and funds are available, financial support will be provided a maximum of once per year per family with children in the home, the disabled and senior citizens.
- Utility Assistance: Maximum of $150 per client per year. Must have client’s name on bill and have received a shut off notice. We do not provide assistance with telephone bills, deposits or reconnection fees. If a utility bill is more than $150, the client must pay amount above $150 before the co-op provides the balance.
- Rent Assistance: Maximum of $200 per client. Must be in eviction status.
If qualified, food can be picked up twice per month by reserving a time on this website calendar. 
Budget planning and referrals to other sources of assistance.
Backpacks and school supplies are available prior to the start of the school year.
Job board plus employment resources and referrals.
